Year 7 Photo Competition 2010 - Results

The competition was held in conjunction with the residential trip to Kilve Court in Somerset.

A record 230+ entries were received and the standard was extremely high.


There were two main categories in the competition:

 

The entries were judged by Chris Jonest a former professional photographer.

 

Prizes were awarded for 1st and 2nd in each main category plus prizes for the 'Best Technical' images.

 

KILVE

1st prize - "High Ropes" by Flora Mc Alister

 

 

Judge's Comment: A very difficult shot to control exposure for – well done!

 

 

 

2nd prize - "High Ropes" by Molly Thompson

 

 

Judge's Comment: A perfect shot of anticipation which really sums up the activity.

 


Best technical - "Kilve Rocks" by Georgia Beirouti

 


Judge's Comment: A lovely picture with great tonal range and depth of field.

 

 

Best technical - "Up and Up and Up" by Katy Hearn

 


Judge's Comment: A very good piece of post-processing – very difficult.
