The Year 9 photographic competition attracted over 200 entries from over 50 girls in the year group.
Entries for the competition had to be taken during the Year 9 Chateau Trip in October 2009
The competition was judged in three categories:
- ‘Remembering the Past’ - for the best photograph taken at a World War 1 battlefield or memorial site
- ‘Girls Just Want to have Fun’ - for the best social photograph taken on the trip
- ‘Essentially French’ - for the best photograph that captures the essence of France or the French
The standard of entries was very high in all categories of the competition.
Prizes were awarded for 1st and 2nd in each category with additional prizes for the best technical images.
